Oh, Fly with me
upon the rainbow
that slips into you
and haunts your dreams
Oh, Fly with me
on a desert wind
to nowhere but a nosebleed.
In a desperate hope, in a desperate place the pills go, go
Top shelf to the left
on your medicine cabinet
you never saw it comin'
til the light left your eyes
You push your hands through the powder snow
that covers you up in your lies
it grew too cold for your spirit here
til the light left your eyes
Oh, Sweetheart
where have you gone that's so far?
Were you watching the crystalline sunset?
Or melting the walls in your head?
Or simply trying to feel nothing at all,
nothing at all
In a desperate hope, in a desperate place the pills go, go
Top shelf to the left
on your medicine cabinet
you never saw it comin'
til the light left your eyes
You push your hands through the powder snow
that covers you up in your lies
it grew too cold for your spirit here
til the light left your eyes
When you can no longer feel
the slender grooves of your polymer casket
Fingers numb to all but the pains of waking each day
A thunderous wailing shall echo from the end of the cavern;
beckoning you to the light.
Blindly you'll follow,
until you leave it behind
one
last
time.

Medusa

I want to forget the rift
whose lands prior
fell after your feet,
the bridges your hands
ran ragged
to move across them,
and the wounds; the skin you tugged and pulled.
And the flesh you've tasted as you enticed me
with that biting serpent
that you've woven
deep into my skin.
I feel every drop of lymph drawn from my flesh.
A conjugal feeding with yellow teeth,
spiraling deep within me.
The ashes are free;
they dance in the air like sawdust
flayed from meager boards.
And you buried me deep in an urn,
beneath your sorrows;
where time stands still
and the dew drops grow hollow.
As you enticed me with
the biting serpent
that you've woven
deeply
into
me

The Grey

Walking the street
under a blushing sky
the trees I colored nauseous green
They reach into me
and swipe their shade
This night; a tingling in the toes
a scratching...
Within my chest
the air leaves
and I awaken
to nothing,
to nothing.
A storm takes me;
its doting arms caress my hair
in cyclonic waves
chilling each bone
until my skin gives way
tired eyes tightly gripping
and fingers slipping away
Its fervor;
disparate and grey
is not a home
but a seal of my eternal resting place.
On the run, or circling the drain.

I Never Said Yes to This
07:52

Passed into the grave of sleep
pulled forth and buried my sunshine
far from bloodshot eyes
that seized and rolled away
A white-soaked sheet set half gone
Dirty fingers thrown against the wall
By the hair the head comes off
Repose and disfigure the doll
And I never said yes.
I never said yes to this.
The crackling of a distant flame
Like teeth through bone
Skin that suffocates
When all of my Earth is screaming
A white-soaked sheet set half gone
Dirty fingers thrown against the wall
By the hair the head comes off
Repose and disfigure the doll.
And I never said yes.
I never said yes to this.
